Which IRC networks does everyone use, and why?

I've never really tried IRC but the choice of networks is bewildering!

    Lately I've been spending a lot of time at irc.bondage.com because...well, I'm a sick perv. Sorry, but there it is...

    Possibly not the first place an IRC newbie might want to visit, I guess, but if one's tastes run that way it is definitely the place to see and be seen.
